"We do not worship many Gods, we do not even worship one God; we worship the only God. We only invoke Him in various names and forms. Every aspect becomes a devata. This is the vision of Isvara of a mature person."

— Swami Dayananda Saraswati

Only One God

The God is One Who has Eternal Powers and these Powers are called Devatas. Devatas mean gods who are many, many. Powers of God are Eternal and countlewss; however, the same have been classed in Sanaatana Dharma as 33 crores. Therefore, in Hindu mythological scriptures it is spoken that there are 33 crores gods which are in reality the Powers of the God (Paramaatmaa).
