SadGuru

You are absolutely right, but how may people follow it.
Most of the so called spiritual & self styled Enlightened people are here to mislead themselves and others.

what others do is not relevant

I think what others do or not do is not relevant as one should concentrate on, and only on, the conduct of himself.

Bothering oneself with what others do always proves as a waste of time, always turns out to originate from the ego and most of all: always proves to be a trick of the mind for avoiding to deal with his own conduct.

What others do can only serve as a reflection of our own conduct, as an opportunity to check how we interpreted and judged others' doings, as an opportunity for us to check how we reacted to their behavior.

I think...

I think that's wise, and very true.

These are the great tools to see ones ugly face directly.
But one afraid of to see the self reality and goes on defaming others.

The trouble is that the mind has nobody to talk to but himself... especially in front of a computer, but even 'in person' we don't know what others are thinking, we aren't really in contact with them. So the mind "projects" self-issues onto others. The real issue is facing the complete aloneness of the mind (separative self), and seeing the need of going beyond it.

Nisargadatta: "In your world you are truly alone, enclosed in your ever-changing dream, which you take for life. My world is an open world, common to all, accessible to all."

Guru & Disciple

A time do comes in the Spiritual journey when one has to leave even his/her Guru and HIS statements and leave HIM aside and to follow the path alone to find TRUTH and at that time even GURU is no where and remains only YOU/I or what you want to say. If some one is still following his Guru's words each and every time, then he has to see inside of him/her for more progress & maturity.
I am in favor of quotes, only if needed so, but not always.
This clearly shows the immaturity and childish play here.
But I like their childish play and so called kidding.
I like child, children, and their play & i wish all of them here always for entertainment of all of us.
Wishing All Of You & Your Family & Near & Dear A Very Very Happy New Year 2009.
