Problematic followers

No doubt this sage and his words were phenomenal.

Yet, the legacy of following figures he left behind is problematic, disappointing and even dangerous. If I take into account Balsekar, Wolinsky, the dutch guy which I forgot his name and others - posing as enlightened and even as direct spiritual descendants of Maharaj, they present a collection of half-baked pseudo-advaita ideas that are ignorantly stemming from basic misunderstanding of Maharaj whole doctrine. I wonder I it is possible that such people who had the rare opportunity to be in his presence didn't understand his simple direct words. Saddening.

Plus, there are Maharaj followers who think that the fact that Maharaj used words and logic means that these are the means to realization and that they can do the same. This ignorant view yields the neo advaita and other ridiculous doctrines and gives these people the excuse to stay addicted to and under the control of the mind and intellect. They clearly do not understand Maharaj's delicate and enlightened reasoning which cannot be imitated by these people. It's like assuming that having the canvas and colors of Picasso I can paint masterpieces like him.

I think this unfortunate development after the death of Maharaj is best described in the famous article http://www.enlightened-spirituality.org/ramesh_balsekar.html

Re: Problematic followers

There is a saying among the wise. What matters is one's actions.

"According to His karmas the Guru goes,
Do what Guru says, not what the Guru does.
According to his karmas the disciple goes.
Do what Guru says, never what the Guru does!"

*** Salutations to the shoes of Guru Siddha Nath ***
