Concocted Designer Story of his Sudden Awakening

Tolle is a phoney guru. Do not waste your time and money on this well educated fraud. Tolle's story of his awakening is reminiscent - if not a carbon copy of - the "mystical scholar" Andrew Harvey's account. Harvey is a Cambridge grad! Whether Tolle,on the other hand, was ever a student at Cambridge is unconfirmed. and if he was what did he study? If it turns out to be divinity/philosophy/metaphysics then you can rest assured he has concocted all of his "awakening" scripts. One of the important things students learn at Uni is to acknowledge all sources and references that one has used. It is incredibly naive of Tolle, disrespectful, unprofessional and utterly dishonest to take all credit for his books - as if his concepts were new and original. Advaita Vedanta is over 2000years before our Meister Eckhart Tolle and encompasses all of Tolle's teachings and more directly with clarity. Why does he not reveal the missing years of his life when he spent time in India with various masters eg? Why does he not state his influences in the books he has written? The sources of the teachings in his books are not mentioned because they are plagiarised directly (using altered words and stress points) from, for example, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Shankara, The Upanishads, Neale Donald Walsch, the Book of Miracles and so on ...the list is endles actually. What about the satsang meetings he went to in London long before The Power of Now was ever published? He is a "professional"mystic/mystery,of that there is no doubt. He has fooled the masses! His teachings lead to a dead end and cost lots.

Be wary of false teachers and mystics - those who move around in "advaita circles". Foster/Parsons also give concocted designer awakening stories

I completely totally and absolutely disagree with you

I completely totally and absolutely disagree with you. His words have this unparalleled rare quality. This rare quality cannot be faked.

As far as I'm concerned, there are three whom I convinced beyond doubt that are awakened: NIsargadatta Maharaj, Ramana Maharshi, and Eckhart Tolle.

what you mean is you disagree!

Jennifer Strong says it is allowed to disagree.
I would point you in the direction of Nisargadatta and Ramana and say to you, dump the Tolle expositions as they will only lead you round in circles like a dog chasing its tail. Just beyond your mouth and nose. Never self-realised, tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, yet already fully ensconced within.

I'm not speculating, I'm

I'm not speculating, I'm talking from my own personal direct experience.

I would tell you to dump your judgementalism and find out exactly what really bothers you about Eckhart Tolle (if it was just that his path was not your cup of tea, you wouldn't have taken the effort to write this opinion...).

Eckhart and plagiarism

I have heard many of his talks and I have him mention many quotes and he has attributed them to the author. Please give a few examples where you say "they are plagiarised directly".

Besides a teacher IMHO, may make a point that someone else has made but give a twist to or give his own interpretation, since (again IMO) truth is one. The sport is the same, but coaches give their teams their own game plans to achieve a win. If the team doesn't like the coach, he is dumped for another. (Some coaches work better with some teams.) That's why we so many "teachers" in real life. For instance take any religion - Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism etc. (with each of the religions having different streams like Zen Buddhism - the religion is one but there are so many teachers.

Neale Donald Wacsh is an asshat. And you protest just a bit too much.
