Biography

Yogacharya Tapan Bose, also known as Swarupananda Brahmachari, is a Kriya Yoga master and guru in the lineage of Mahavatar Babaji.

It is said that he has been initiated in the advanced stages of Kriya Yoga practice.

He currently lives in the Suburb of Belgharia, close to Kolkata hin the State of West Bengal, India.

Yogacharya Tapan Bose believes in teaching Kriya Yoga directly to the disciple. This is the Parampara tradition as espoused by Yogis of yore. It is the method wherein the Guru directly teaches a particular method for the disciple to achieve a direct experience of Cosmic Consciousness with a progressive increase in experiencing Divine Bliss (Ananda), intuition and the awakening of the Third eye and the divine energy Kundalini the goal being full enlightenment, God-Realization and Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

What is Kriya Yoga?

Kriya Yoga is a scientific method of Yoga practice wherein the Kriya practitioner easily attains mastery over the breath, thereby bringing under control the mind and all major physiological functions. This leads to a gradual state of withdrawal or Pratyahara leading to an inner mental peace and Self-Realization. Kriya Yoga gives the practitioner the simultaneous development of his body, mind and soul; its practice is non-sectarian and available to all people regardless of their religion background.

Physical Attainments

Kriya Yoga strengthens our heart and lungs. It cures indigestion and increases appetite. It protects liver, kidney, pancreas and other organs within our abdomen. This yoga removes retarded health, gout, depression and nervous debility and brings about healthy gloss of skin and luster of body. It prevents oldness and rejuvenates elderly persons. Is very essential for attaining hormonal balance.

Mental Attainments

Kriya Yoga makes our mind calm. Deep inhalation of oxygen associated with other helpful chemical ingredients makes our memory strong. Pranayam or Meditation also gives us energy and agility. The veering mind attains rapt attention, which ultimately turns to concentration of mind. By practising this Divine Kriya Yoga, we can easily overcome common day-to-day human problems such as stress, tension, anger, fear, jealousy, frustration and what not.

Spiritual Attainments

By practising Kriya Yoga, we immediately perceive three Holy presence of God within ourselves i.e. Divine Light, Divine Sound and Divine Vibration. Kriya Yoga awakes our Kundalini Shakti within a short time. We, therefore, achieve cosmic consciousness stage, the Supreme Goal of Divinity.
