Biography

Sri Brahmam was not particularly interested in spirituality during his childhood or adolescence, but around his sixth year the mantra Om Namah Shivaya arose in him spontaneously and kept echoing in the background of all his activities since then.

He was obliged to interrupt his higher studies due to his father's untimely death and to take up a job as a school teacher to support his family.

In his mid twenties he saw a photograph of Ramana Maharshi at a friend's house which attracted him strongly. He traveled immediately to Tiruvannamalai to the Ashram of Ramana Maharshi where he had a death experience which completely transformed him.

He continued working as a school teacher until his retirement and lead a family life on the outside while remaining immersed in deep bliss and peace on the inside.

In 1982 he started the Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Asramam in his hometown of Tadpatri, Andhra Pradesh, which he continues to maintain.

Since the 1980s he has been giving spiritual discourses mostly in the Telugu language. After 2001 he began giving talks in English as well.
In 2003 he was invited to give satsang in the Czech Republic. The Czech people showed great interest in his presence and Sri Brahmam visits the Central European country almost every year. He was also invited to give discourses in Germany and Denmark several times.

The meetings with Sri Brahmam during which he also frequently gives blessings by touch to several people are always free of charge.
