Biography

Swami Dipankar fondly addressed as 'Swamiji' or 'guruji' was born in Muzaffarnagar, in Uttar Pradesh.

As a child, he is said to have been often deeply engrossed in japa and dhyan.

He met his guru Shri Brahmanand Saraswati who is said to have recognized the potentials in the young boy and took him under his wings.

At the age of 8 years, he left the comforts of his home and began the long and mystic journey on the path of spirituality. He spent years in acquiring knowledge of the great Hindu scriptures and learning the intricacies of spirituality.

He started mentoring in the year 2000 with a vision of a stress free and a violence free society, emphasizing on the human values like love, compassion and truth.

He believes in inspiring people with his actions rather than words.

Teachings

Swami Dipankar strongly believes that humanity is the only predominant bond that connects people bringing them closer in spite of the numerous differences prevalent in the world on the basis of nationality, religion, gender, colour, caste or creed.

According to Swami Dipankar, science and spirituality are interlinked, both springing from the urge to know. Quest to know "Who am I", leads to spirituality whereas curiosity to know "What is this", is science.

Swamiji says that thinking and remembering the past and worrying about the future is the root cause of unhappiness. He believes that joy can only be felt by being in the present moment. Relaxation can be attained by the breath which is the link between the body and the mind. His programs offer the practical tools to accomplish this. He emphasizes on the importance of meditation, spiritual practice and service to others. He says that "Truth is spherical rather than linear so it has to be contradictory".
