Stephane Vaillancourt combines Zen and Tibetan Buddhism with Christian mysticism. He is married and a father of two teenagers.

He was introduced to yoga in 1985 in the tradition of Swami Sivananda. In 2006 he undertook an intensive training in Satyam Hatha Yoga to offer, along with meditation, a non-dual approach to the body and mind.

Since 1990 he has been woking in the field of health for seniors in the final stages of their life in a hospital in downtown Montreal. He currently divides his time between work, education, personal meditation retreats and study of the Christian tradition, especially Franciscan spirituality, Carmelite, and hesychast Rhineland mystics.

He has spent more than 22 years of study and practice of meditation including almost 10 years with the Zen master Thich Quang Due.
