Sri Goswami Kriyananda carried the flame of the Kriya Lineage through the mystical teachings of his Guru, yogi and kabbalist Sri Shelliji who was a direct disciple of Pramahansa Yogananda. Goswami was the founder and Spiritual Preceptor of The Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago, Illinois, USA., and Centre de Kriya Yoga France. An internationally known author, he has written over a dozen books and produced an extensive library of lectures, seminars, and courses on Kriya Yoga, the doctrine of karma, astrology, yogic philosophy, meditation and mysticism. He made his maha-samadhi, leaving his physical body, April of 2015.

The Kriya Yoga is the only yoga mentioned by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras . Indeed the Kriya is a system which deals directly with the Spirit, its structure and its dynamics. Being one with him, a mystical psychology offers deep recognition of the way in which we create, maintain and dissolve the circumstances of our life.

Indeed, his unique approach is rooted in his lighting on Karma, the laws of causation and the way in which karma is generated, activated and likely to be softened and modified. The Kriya is a process of self-study and meditative agreement that induces a direct perception or a dive in the nature and dynamics of consciousness, the structure of the Spirit and Life itself.

Kriya Yoga is a spiritual path involving breathing and meditation techniques leading toward peace, bliss and connection to God, or higher consciousness. It was introduced to the U.S. by Paramhansa Yogananda in 1920, who came from India where the Kriya Yoga lineage was started by Babaji, who is considered to be an avatar.
Goswami Kriyananda introduced Kriya Yoga to the Midwest in the 1950s and then founded the Temple of Kriya Yoga in the late 1960s,
