My beloved SISTERS and BROTHERS in HIM ,

Just a few words because my english is too much bad ( I live in France ) ...
I am very surprised to read in GUEU'sFEET that some persons gives to them the holy name of GURU , SATGURU , AVADOOTHA ... and so on ... and Sonagiri smiles ...
For me the true GURU , the SATGURU , the AVADOOTHA ... is but HE does not that HE is that ... The "GURU " who says he is a "guru " or a " satguru " talks only with his EGO ... the SATGURU says nothing , only HE gives LOVE , only HE IS ...

With all my LOVE ,

People want to be somebody...

People want to be somebody. But it is out of fear. The fear is that nobody knows you; whether you exist or not makes no difference to the world. Whether you have been here or not, nobody will remember.

People are not interested in living but being remembered.

I think that's basically true, and possible more to the point, the person verifies his existence only in relationship to something, and so those relationships must be continually formed and reformed in order to get the feedback that says 'I exist'. I, the person, do not exist outside of my relationship to 'you'.

Social animal

The human being is after all social animal.

He is a social animal because of the reasons above, driven by an expansion of ego potential.

Indeed so...

Indeed so... reality exists outside the social dream ("objectivity" based on consensus-subjectivity).

The "self" is nothing but an image in the mind, based on how we imagine others see us. Put quite simply, it isn't there. Others don't see us in any fixed way at all.

The real Self isn't a John or a Dave or a Sam, but the empty space in which (on an ongoing basis) appears the world. There's nothing there worth remembering, which is a 'good thing' -- believing otherwise is a misuse of memory and the cause of our suffering.

Social animal ~

So you want to say that you are not among the social animals?
Then it means that you are just animal but not social. As the animals do not have "EGO".

Well, I didn't say or imply all that stuff, but yes, Phroggy is 'just' an animal. Hehe. Do you see your mind/body as more than 'just' an animal? Is it special in some way?

what´s the difference

what´s the difference between a guru and a satguru ?

Karl Jacob | Thu, 04/30/2009 - 22:25

Satguru or Sadguru means true guru. (Sanskrit सदगुरू sat=true), literally: true teacher. The title means that his students have faith that the guru can be trusted and will lead them to moksha, enlightenment or inner peace. It is based on a long line of Hindu philosophical understandings of the importance of knowledge and that the teacher, guru, is the sacred conduit to self-realization.

No it is not like that, a Guru is Guru and nothing is there like true and false.
Sat Guru is also Guru but with adjective with respect only, like Shri/Mr.

No, There is no difference

There is no difference as per the old texts and also as per my experience and opinion.
There is no true & false Guru .Guru is just Guru, who removes your darkness and take you towards light.

I think there is a difference.

Atma Namaste ....

First of all it is just what i think. I could be right or wrong. I am not trying to say I am right. But what I think is there is a BIG difference between Guru and a SatGuru. A person can have many gurus but he/she can have only one SATGURU. From my experience, there are lot of people who teach me lot of things.. THey are my Gurus. In a way all those living and non living beings around us are our Gurus... They all teach us somthin about life.it could be spiritual or wordly. But SatGuru is somone whom you have a close relationship with. HE's the one who'll always help u through your spiritual growth. He's the one who'll help us grow closer to GOD and realize our true self. He's the one who showers us with continuous blessings... He's the one who protect us from all harms and constantly guide us to GOD... Its more of like a relationship. You will feel as if u want to go closer to him and merge with him.. its a relationship built on pure love .. hes' the manifestation of God himself. ... Pranams to my SATGURU Grand Master Choa Kok Sui ....

There can only be one guru

Sadguru refers to the one guru beyond all appearances.

In our ignorance and due to our underlying secular way of thinking we focus on the varoius external appearances of the body-minds of the official gurus (e.g. Ramana, Papaji, Osho, Eckhart Tolle) and non-official gurus (a wise begger in the street, a cat drawing our attention to some insight, a significant article in the newspaper) and mistaken them to be the gurus while the guru is the one guiding source beyond all these appearances and within ourselves.

As the saying goes God in the human form is called guru.Only for the sake of selection of guru you may use the prefix sath. There is no need to search guru.Because guru will attract his disciple like a powerful magnet.Vivekananda was attracted by Ramakrishna.Sri ramunja gave mantropapadesha to all by standing onthe temple of sri ranganadha. Is our knowledge sufficient to judge the great ness of a guru? Can we give him atag as sadguru? .Guru is triguna teetha and trimoorthy swaroopa. So letus not try to place onion leaves over the ears of guru. For the fear that his disciples may think asath sri Rama krishna parama hamsa taught only Om Thath

Gramatically Guru is a

Gramatically Guru is a teacher, any teacher, somebody who teaches u to cook, to eat or to read etc. But Satguru is the special teacher who teaches you the truth path of going inside and experience self realisation.

so this is the difference, satguru is often known as guru in small word.
