Joyful misconceptions
I think I trace here the joy out of simplistic misconceptions that are so common nowadays, especially among westerners, especially among neo-advaitans regarding enlightenment - the problem is not the ability to tell the difference between enlightenment and an ordinary state, there is a difference that anyone who tasted the qualities of this thing knows well, the problem is with the "to prove", to prove with what? with the mind? The mind cannot analyze that sphere which is beyong it's conceptions but a person who is sensitive enough, developed enough and above all conscious enough to eliminate the projections of himself on the other - if he meets you he will instantly know (even if he/she is not realized), it is a kind of knowledge which is not mind product.
Enlightenment is not just yet another state of mind, it is not just being present and aware, it is not "you are already it", it has a tremendous metaphysical aspect that cannot be conveyed in words and is ignored by those simplistic analysis approaches stemming mainly from the neoadvaitans copycats from the west.
A committed player.
A simple game. Do you think the point of the game is to answer the question 'correctly', or something else? The question IS flawed, so is there any point in trying to answer it? As you say, the problem lies with proof.
