God does not belong to any particular Religion. God is an Unique symbol of Peace & Faith .

God is beyond a symbol.

God is beyond a symbol. Peace or war are indifferent to God, they are only relevant to us in our perspective (when ants have war, "for some strange reason" we are not bothered at all...) and indeed in the world which is part of God of course, by definition, there are also wars.

The same thing with faith. God has no interest in anything because it must be absolute. And especially it has no interest in faith of anyone.

With these dissapopinting facts, now one should go forward, devoid of the candies and excitement.

The Benedictine monk Brother David Steindl-Rast put it best, I feel, when he wrote, "God is a name for a reality that can't be named."

In that sense, I think, he means that God is the Ultimate Symbol as well as the Ultimate Reality. But then again, mysticism is fraught with paradoxes...

Religion ???

Religion means re-union, or re-union with --- from where we started this journey of life in the begaining, or the nick name is "GoD".

Yes, it comes from Re,

Yes, it comes from Re, meaning again and ligare, meaning to bind back. Re-ligare, to bind back again. To bind back to God.

But the thrust of the discussion seems to be that if religion, in it's binding back, stifles spirituality, or stifles the spirit, it is ironically going against the very thing it is supposed to be helping us with.
