Living with depression / sorrow / melancholia

I find living in this material world a mammoth task-for a variety of reasons.Sometimes,I feel suicidal but have promised my spirit guides that I will stay alive as long as I have to,so I usually snap myself out of it.
The medical world calls it depression but Im not sure that really explains anything.I tried anti depressants and felt invaded by an alien force which smothered/numbed my emotional responses and felt terribly unnatural.I couldnt laugh,I couldnt cry and couldnt wait for the effects of that pill to wear off so I could just FEEL again!
I decided that perhaps experiencing intense sorrow is in fact quite a natural response to living in such a world and rather than seeing it as something negative,to be ashamed of or a sign of failure, maybe I should just embrace it,accept its a part of who I am.

Im a Gemini and I see joy and sorrow like twins, both are beautiful in their own way and exsist side by side.
Emotions should not be denied, they are such an integral part of being human and something we all have in common.
In England there is alot of repressed, unacknowledged emotion in people and its not healthy.Yet,they seem so proud of their "stiff upper lip!"
Anyway, this is a deep subject and I dont want to try and tackle it in one go-its an ongoing process and hopefully healing is happening for the whole of humankind.
Meanwhile,I cope with as much positivity as I can muster, prayer, good nutrition and daily walks.

Pet ferrets are awake and demanding attention so,time to sign off!Wishing everyone well in all ways!

Sadness

"Im a Gemini and I see joy and sorrow like twins, both are beautiful in their own way and exsist side by side.

So many spiritual people are subject to emotional turmoil. I was talking to a friend tonight and I mentioned that God seems to soften us up in this way. She told me about a friend of hers who had a jem polishing machine and that he would throw the jems in a cylinder with sand to polish them.

Osho says anything denied gets pushed into the unconscious mind, which is many times stronger than the conscious. He suggests fully experiencing the emotion. I did this a few times before I was successful, but it always taught me something about where the emotion came from. When it finally worked for me, I was so surprised at the outcome!

Cheers and prayers for you.
Love,
Cheylah
