Is an apple conscious of itself? Does a lamb have self-consciousness?

Is it that only human beings have self-consciousness? Or plants, animals and materials also have?

Humans also do not have self consciousness

It depends on how you define "self consciousness".

Humans also do not have self consciousness. Only very rare ones have and it has nothing to do with their human form or them being humans in the manifested reality.

Maybe you meant consciousness and not self consciousness.

If it is so, the apple certainly doesn't have consciousness the same way your nail doesn't have consciousness but the apple tree has and the lamb also.

In the same way, materials per se do not have consciousness but the planet, for example, has.

Actualy, the more precise term is to say "associated with a consciousness" and not "has" consciousness which is completely invalid.

Do not confuse form objects with conscious objects. Some whole form objects are conscious objects because as a whole they represent this consciousness while their parts are just parts. Form is form, it is just a shape.

The easiest way to notice if something is associated with a consciousness is to sense if it has an energetic stamp, a unique independent energetic circuit. Tune in to that and you will understand what I say very soon.

Consciousness is energy

Consciousness is energy flowing around the boundary. And self-consciousness is energy flowing towards the center.

Every material object, including a dot on a black board has consciousness, since it has a shape and a boundary, energy flowing through it.

All objects have a center, a nucleus, and the energy flows towards the center. And they are self-conscious too.

The only question is do they realize, 'I am aware'. Are they conscious of their consciousness?

No, neither of them is energy

No, neither of them is energy. They have some energetic impact, that's all.

You are confusing between form objects and consciousness and imagining any object to have some soul or center which is of course invalid.

Self consciousness is more than just being aware of own existence - this is called self awareness.

There is no "have" relation between objects and consciousness. Read again what I wrote and try thios time to realize it not through the mind.

Self-consciousness, awareness of the self or I, witness or watchfulness, whatever jargon you use, is a concept you have studied and stored in your memory.

Your self-consciousness is just a memory, not a real thing.

Your self-consciousness is no more greater than the consciousness of a rock.

A rock does not have a consciousness, it is just an arbitrary name you gave to an arbitrary object. If for example you attach with glue two rocks to form a bigger rock - does the combined rock has a consciousness? where have the consciousnesses of the two rocks gone? you can conclude from this example the absurdity.

The combined rocks lose

The combined rocks lose their individual identities. And find a new merged identity as their self. But two men can't do this.

This is not conciousness you are talking about

You are employing too much mind and so you arrive at incorrect conclusions. This is not conciousness you are talking about, this is just your mental perception of objects that is changed when they are glued and your developed imagination.

I am not employing my mind. I am seeing things around me with my heart. I am able to feel the consciousness of a rock, a grass or a lamb. If you have eyes, you can see this too.

Energy of trees.

I feel the energy of trees. Sometimes, when my mind is quiet. I felt once that the same energy animating a tree is the same energy animating me. But then I wondered, what about my thinking mind?

I stopped at just feeling the energy of trees. That's good enough.

I am not telling this just for the sake of argument. I feel like this. The consciousness of a grass seems to be higher, nobler and divine than that of a man.

Thank you, this is a good

Thank you, this is a good question. Everything seems to be throbbing with the same energy. Self consciousness is consciousness becoming aware of itself. How does this happen in man? A thought arises: Who am I? On following this “I” thought, we see that it disappears and only the ‘I’ feeling remains – pure awareness. So who is asking the question? Who wants to be self conscious? Isnt the content that is asking the question? A mirage that asks what it is and then disappears so that only that which is real remains behind. Is this possible in other objects? Is there thought in them that asks the question “who am I?” That would be your answer, I guess.
