Yesterday, the Guru Purnima was celebrated in India. Guru Purnima is an Indian festival dedicated to spiritual teachers. In that day, people name and thank their gurus.

I would like to use this beautiful opportunity to let people from different places and traditions to name here their present and past gurus/teachers, and to thank them and express their love to them.

I got the idea from Dr.BalaKrishna Murthy Ramaraju's post in

*** When mentioning a guru/teacher, please include a link to his/her guru profile if such exists (and if it doesn't exist yet, use the opportunity to create one by using the following link:

So I will start:

I would like to thank Osho ( for introducing me to spirituality. Without him, I would probably still be thinking that all this spirituality is a mambpo jambo.

I would also like to thank Shlomo Kalo ( a brilliant and tough Israeli teacher who enabled me to dive inside myself and the truth. I'm not following him anymore but I have a lot of gratitude to this man.

Finally, I would like to thank Ramana Maharshi ( and Arunachala for the unparalleled wisdom they are bestowing upon me.

Thank you Nisargadatta Maharaj (and also Ramesh Balsekar)

Beautiful initiative.

I would like to thank my divine guru Nisargadatta Maharaj, the wisest man I ever come across. I consider him as my guru and spiritual beacon.

And also, I would like to thank Ramesh Balsekar whom thanks to him I discovered Maharaj. Though I don't value much his own teachings and I don't think he realized anything, his functioning as a bridge between me and Maharaj was invaluable.

Here are the guru profiles of these two:

Thank you gurus

mmm where should I start? There are so many that helped me on the path, each in the right timing -

Osho Rajneesh & J. Krishnamurti - who also in my case opened for me this window to eastern wisdom.

Dalai Lama - thanks to his movement I was lucky to get to know the beautiful principles of Buddhism in such an accesible way.

Meher Baba - significant changes occurred to me while staying in Meherabad.

Ceaser Teruel - for converting Advaita from a therotical topic into an experiential fact.

Ammachi - for the endless love that exploded my skepticism.

Thank you all!

(I will probably recall later more ones that helped me and will share and thank them as well)

Nisargadatta Maharaj & Ranjit Maharaj - for their so pure and so clear voice.

Life itself has been the greatest guru.

When love and devotion surfaced, Swami-Shri Sathya Sai, manifested as the love divine, revealing Truth as his form...
"A split second and there was no more me.
Beyond all thought,
An emptiness,
A void,
No me,
No Swami.
No separation.

When knowledge spontaneously appeared, I was led to Ramana Maharishi and Nisargadatta Maharaj....

Nature herself unfolded herself through the plants that I tended in the garden....

My children, have taught me unconditional love...

My grandchildren, teach me playfulness, a lightheartedness...

Joys and pain, taught me of the transcience of circumstances...

Through my husband I learnt to stand up for myself...

Suffering taught me compassion....

Wei Wu Wei, came along and made me see the humour in life, even in spirituality, while tongue-in-cheek, teaching about being Unworldly Wise, with his Finger Pointing At The Moon....

Yes the divine IS working through each and everyone,
AS everyone.
It will bring about whatever is needed in the moment.
For the individual and the universal, as they are truely ONE . It's all the movement of that static ONE.
Best not to have any agenda...
The energy will move as it moves, agenda or no agenda, in any case."

Emptiness forever meeting the fullness of that Emptiness...

"And all the while, I go about my daily chores..
Children, 4 grandchildren, husband, mother, brothers and their families, friends, strangers, you , gurusfeet family..the world at large..."
