A guru is not a rock star whose aim is to collect followers. He/she is just there to help you access the satguru through your conditioning. When it's done, you kiss the guru goodbye like you kiss the psychologist goodbye when the therapy process is completed.
The guru-disciple relationship is jusst a walking stick. Those who attribute to it too much holiness are no different than a patient who refuses to leave his psychologist due to the emotional attachment he developed to him and to the pleasure of having someone controling him and his misunderstanding of the purpose and dynamics of extrenal assistance.
