And Footsteps Glide Effortlessly

MAI's picture

Battle scarred and wounded

Heroes everywhere I look

There is no escaping our beautiful humanness

The heart breaking tenderness of it all

This stunningly sublime nakedness

What A Wonder

MAI's picture

What a wonder

It
This

This un-snare-ability

Scooping the ocean in the cupped palms of her hand
Glistening droplets shimmering
Slip sliding off her skin

After the Rain

MAI's picture

The end of denial comes of it's own accord
The end of pretence

"The quality of mercy
Is not strain'd"

The heart breaks open with all the pain that's been held inside for millennia

Jostling Playfully

MAI's picture

No graven image

However gilded
Carved in marble and lime stone
Adorned in gold leaf
And rubies

Can touch the ever flowing
Uncapturable liquidity
Ephemeral beauty of this

It Is As It Is

MAI's picture

And if only
Life were just so

All would be tickety-boo

And you could live your life
Without a care in the world

It was never your life
Nor a life playing you

You are not dreaming

The Awe And Joy Of Simply Being

MAI's picture

I opened my balcony window
The morn has still not dawned yet

And spied a large owl sitting on the window ledge a floor below
In the dark a white face... white breasted... and luminous eyes

A Cloud And A Pine Tree

MAI's picture

When we were little... my dad would take us for our summer holidays to the hills of Shimla

We went there 5 years in a row

This And That

MAI's picture

This and that
Me and you

I've seen this sort of thing played out in my own life

And it makes me sad

That love is used as a bargaining chip

To manipulate the dream

The Great Aloneness

MAI's picture

Aaaahhhh
The great aloneness

She leaned into the lean to
To shelter from the storm
The lean to collapsed
And along with it...she

Ahhh
Hail... storm... and calm

A Strange Coming Home

MAI's picture

There's a kind of hush

The hum of life

It's always on

She was dearly beloved !

I simply called her "Aunty"

And the only one I had and could to speak to about the awakening
