What's spirituality all about ?
Nothing.

What's life all about?
Everything.

Nothing...
Everything....

Actually both could apply to the other....
If turned about...

Eventually it's all about..
The same thing....

Whichever way you look at it....

:-) :-)

Both Cancel Each Other Out

Asanga,
" I am, yet I am not..."

And they both cancel each other out....

:-)

All that remains...

Silence...

We cannot really grasp nothing and everything

The interesting thing is that we use freely these both terms but actually our mind cannot grasp their true meanings.

The "nothing" that we grasp is actually "no thing" which is not truly "nothing" as it is based on "things", the absence of things, it is based on reference to that which we can grasp, existence or absence of something. Nothingness is something else in which even the very potential of things does not exist.

The same goes with "everything" which our mind erroneously translates to "all things", again in reference to something that we can grasp.

That is the true doorway to have a glimpse of these two notions.

Each individual experience is unique...

Would be a good idea to use 'I' instead of 'we'. Generalizing with only one's own experience as the yardstick is not a great idea...

I am, yet I am not...

This is not a matter of

This is not a matter of one's experience, this is a basic fact shared by all minds, the same way as logic, conditioning, conceptual thinking and so on.

The mind struggles to grasp

Dear Tania, to quote you :

"The interesting thing is that we use freely these both terms but actually our mind cannot grasp their true meanings."

True, true, the mind cannot grasp....
And that's what it's all about..

:-) :-)

In the absence of grasping...letting go the trying to find meaning...trying to understand....emerges a gap and a silence...

Words like nothing, everything, something, same thing....are only pointers....devoid of any meaning, in themselves...and the mind struggles with it...

And then...
Silence.
