Third Eye Meditation

Please compare contrast "Third Eye Meditation" with inner body awareness.

Is it the same as "Innerbody Body Awareness", except the focus of attention/awareness/consciousness/thought is on the middle of the forehead?

Please indulge my inquisitive nemesis (my mind) and share your experiences with this meditation.

I often read of "warnings" and "caution" regarding this meditation, but no one really explaines they are warning about. Whatt's the big deal? To me, it's just body body part on which to practice Tolle's "Inner Body Awareness."

Comments welcome, but no mumbo jumbo please.

Two different things

Inner body meditation and third eye meditation are two completely different things. I don't see even a resemblance. Inner body meditation focuses on an energetic perception of the energetic body by going from within the physical body as Tolle instructs and the other is focusing on the area of the 3rd eye.

The impact of the two techniques are also different.

Different

They seem the same to me because Eckart mentions starting by putting awareness on our "feet, hands, shoulders, abdomen, head, lips." And when I put my attention on the middle of my forehead it seemed like just another body part to put our attention on.

However, they do, for me, seem to feel different. I get the same experience whether I put attention on the inner aliveness of my hands, or feet, or lips, or shoulders, chest, or upper torso. But...when I focus my attention on the middle of the forehead, it seems to be it's own experience unrelated to the rest of the body. Can you explain why?

Please elaborate. What is the impact of Third Eye meditation. Also, are you speaking from experience?

cannot edit

Apparently once I hit "post comments" I cannot edit. In my post above I only meant to quote "The impact of the two techniques are also different." I donn't know how the preceding quote got in there. I can't get it out.

Sorry for the messy post.

"warnings" and "caution"

The people giving "warnings" and "caution" regarding this meditation, are not really familear with this Practically,

There is lot of difference between Saying, doing & Done,

The people just read, hear, or listen obout this, But truely they are not realized, and start telling others,

True state of this meditation can take "BIRTHS",
Attaing this state of meditation means getting out of the cycle of Death & Births or to open the gate for Enlightenment.
