Is there an ultimate solution ?

Few years back I was faced with a dilemma. I did not know which way to go. I was just pondering on the issue when a thought struck me…
“Can one have a central guiding principle which helps in solving all dilemmas?”
There begun my search for a principle which can help every one to decide “what is worth doing and what is not” I want to build up a thumb rule which can be good for an individual, families, communities, cities, states, nations, community of nations, small and multinational business enterprises and every one else. I am in search of a universal benchmark which can help solve mundane problem of an ordinary citizen and complex international diplomatic issues of head of state. This benchmark must be the ultimate solution, answer to all the questions and stand up to the scientific scrutiny. No ambiguity, no vagueness, I am in search of glaring clarity.
My search for this ultimate solution has brought me to the question-
“What is the purpose of my life?”
Based on my search I have tried to developed a theory. Here goes:
The fate of an individual is decided on the day of his/her inception. The genes/DNA code of the parents at the time of inception decides the life span, IQ level, physique, health status and everything else. This means that “Maximum Potential” of a person in terms of life span, health, IQ level etc. is sealed at the time of inception. I am not a scientist and thus can not explain it in scientific terms but this is what really happens.
Let us quantify this “Maximum Potential” to “X factor” i.e. a person will have life span of X years, have X IQ level and will have X quality of health.
What can be the impediment to the “Maximum Potential?” Accidents, wars, diseases, malnutrition, body-mind-environmental abuses and such other factors can intervene and can short circuit the realization of the “Maximum Potential”
Realization of “Maximum Potential” requires ideal conditions and thus efforts of every one viz. individuals- societies- cities- states- nations- community of nations- small and big business corporations- should be directed at realizing “Maximum Potential” for all human kind. Let all the flowers bloom to its maximum potential.
When I am faced with a dilemma on which way to go I apply “Maximum Potential” thumb rule, and it has helped me decide most of the time. The basic premises is that I must realize my “Maximum Potential”. Does this help in realizing "Maximum Potential or impedes it ? I have tried it and has found right answers most of the time.
Everyone on this earth has a fundamental right to realize "Maximum Potential" No one or nothing should violate this basic right. All individual and collective policies must be decided on the bench mark of “Maximum Potential”
This is a seed of an idea.My search for the ultimate solution continues. I am posting it here for critical scrutiny, discussions, alteration. Let us all deliberate and colloborate on " Is there an Ultimate Solution?"

how do you actually apply it?

You write:

Now, whenever I am faced with a question or dilemma on which way to go I apply “Maximum Potential” thumb rule.

I didn't understand how you actually apply this thumb rule in practice.

What do u test in order to decide which way to go? You mention some quantified qualities/abilities of a person (IQ,life span etc.) which you call them factors. Are these factors the ones you test against a life situation that calls for a decision?

to divine _inervention

Thanks.I am not a pro at writing blogs. I just wrote what ever came to my mind. After reading your comments I have changed the title to "Is there an ultimate solution?" and has edited my blog to some extant. I have posted my idea for scrutiny and colloboration. Let us all work together and find the ultimate solution if there is any. On your question how do I apply it? I am preparing a hypothetical real life situation and will post here soon.
Thanks once again.

NOTHING CAN BE APPLIED TO THE ILLUSORY EXPERINCE OF LIFE

Santthosh
ALL this rules and regulations and spiritual laws based on ego. When each and everyone's individual circumstances are different and it all these rules and laws cannot be applied and it is not a universal. The divine intervention is a religious fable.

ONE HAS TO UNDERSTAND THE PRESENT EXPERIENCE OF LIFE ITSELF IS MERE ILLUSION. THEREFORE IT IS NECESSARY TO VERIFY ONE'S OWN EXISTENCE TO OVERCOME FROM THE INTOXICATION OF ILLUSORY EXPERIENCE OF DUALITY WHICH EVERY ONE EXPERIENCES AS REALITY.

I prefer the term "soul calling"

I prefer the term "soul calling" than "life purpose", the latter can inflate the ego if we are not careful.

My way of deciding when there is a dilemma is to listen to this deep intuitive voice that comes from within, it is always there, we just don't give it much importance. We got used to listen to our logical mind. Some call this voice a hunch, some call it intuition...

I found out many times in retrospective that this voice was right and logical reasoning was wrong...

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS MERE ILLUSION

Santthosh
Hi sisi,
One feels life has some purpose only within the illusory experience of duality. There is neither the soul nor the experience of life when one becomes aware of the true self which is non dual spirit or Atman.

The ego is the physical entity within the illusory experience of duality or diversity or mind.Once the self is realized the experience of duality will no longer will be a reality. It is as good as dream. The dream becomes unreal when waking takes place. The waking becomes unreal when the wisdom dawns.
WITH RESPECT AND REGARDS

enthusiasm as a guide

I recognize the right decision when I feel the excitement, the enthusiasm of doing it, even if it is seems totally ridiculous and hopeless.

There is a good article posted on this website that talks exactly about this: From effort to enthusiasm
