Every day should be a good day and you should live it like it's your last. Some people live a life of anger, frustration, pain, jealousy, and/or dishonesty, but all of these things will come to pass when your time here is over. Just take a moment to think, we will not be on this earth forever. One day, we will not have to worry about going to work or how we will make our car payment.

We will not have to worry where our next meal will come from, or how we can buy that beautiful house. At anytime, God could take us off of this earth, so you should appreciate today and not worry about tomorrow, for nobody knows what tomorrow will bring. When you wake up each morning, thank the Lord for waking you up.

When you lie down to sleep at night, thank the Lord for another day. If you have a job, thank the Lord for your place of employment. Ask that He May bless you in everything that you do. Ask Him to give you the knowledge and the wisdom to do your job. If you don't have a job, thank Him anyway. Ask him to direct you to the job that is right for you.

Thankfulness

Thankfulness is what really makes this life meaningful. Each day is a gift of Grace and w have so little to do with it as a controlling body/mind. We are gifted with an awareness of the Absolute who guides, teaches and loves us as One.

Thank you for your post!

One Love

Proportions

So true, just to always remember the proportions, to have a monitor which always measure proportions, a control tower that sees what is eternal and what will anyway go away when we die.

Gurdjieff says "always remember yourself". This is very difficult. I say at least always "remember the proportions".

The emphasis is the "remember" and the "always" as we perfectly know the porportions when we are awake and aware. But it is so seldom that we are awake and aware.

So why not simply focus on being awake and aware? You can't 'remember' something you're not even aware of anyway, which is why it's so difficult.

So much effort is devoted to remaing asleep and ignorant, it's really just a matter of noticing those efforts and stopping them, or at least considering them.

Every time I hear someone say, 'Just do this, don't think about it or try to understand it.', I figure this is another attempt to stay asleep and ignorant. Question everything.
