Swami Sai Premananda

It has been a while since I’ve visited this site and it saddens me to come across what can at best be described as vitriolic rhetoric posted by one individual against Swami Sai Premananda. I had thought that the Guru’s Feet website was a site that celebrated the teachings of Gurus, Masters, and other enlightened souls. Imagine my disappointment that a series of concerted attacks is allowed to continue. For this individual to frame his writings as “exposés” is disingenuous.

Most people who have spent time in Swami Sai Premananda’s satsangs and meditation evenings can testify to having experienced something that was beyond the norm. A Krishna Janmashtami evening that highlighted the joy in the birth of Lord Krishna, a Shivratri program that celebrated the glory and power of Lord Shiva, the list can go on but not one would adequately convey in words the joy that each celebration gave.

Swami Sai Premananda once said how you approach God, is how God comes to you. For me, that meant that however open my heart was to the satsang, such was my experience of the divine in that satsang. To take that teaching into everyday life, however open was my heart to the goodness and beauty of the divine such would be my experience.

Swami Sai Premananda used to repeat a teaching in several satsangs “Yad bhavam tad bhavathi”. As you think so you become. I believe this was repeated often to drive it home. As you think so you become. I believe this was repeated often to encourage satsang attendees to accept and believe in our own divine natures. As you think so you become.

To the many teaching Swami Sai Premananda offered, I am grateful.

If we think about it this is what Satsang is all about and this IS what Swamiji taught!

Well said Devka
