Really ?

If you really believe in this equation, Than of course need not be expecting any reply because all this can only happen in past.

Or you want to be unhappy ?

The now is not the omission of past and future

The now is not the omission of past and future. That "now" is still on the time dimension. This is the tragedy with approaches such as of Eckhart Tolle. As all that followed them know, the now cannot be accessed directly by will, this is just the above "now" which is not that different than the abiding in the past and the future. The true presence is achieved as a by product of being still.

So if you want it in equations, it is simpler:

- Mind = Now

PS. and the true characteristic of the now is not necessarily happiness, it can be happiness and it can be unhappiness. The true characteristic of the now is surrender, i.e. you don't care there whether there is happiness or unhappiness.

Nowness

Very good equation. It is true that NOW is the only reality. Rather than subtracting the past and future, the idea is to realize that the past was what it was,the future will be what it will be. It is being OK with them.

Nowness is a concept of being present. Conscious. Loving kindness, awareness .... Which means not engaging with the ideas of what happened and what will happen but being fully present in this moment. We should take it in that perspective.
There is no denying of anything other than the present but be conscious of only the present.
