Realisation & Fear

Cause of the problem is not religion but our inability to differentiate between idea and fact. On the other end of the same stick is our inability to 'See' that realisation is 'Knowing' and superior to any experience.

One may see a contradiction in what has been stated above for the simple reason that we do not realise that clinging to ideas and clinging to experiences arise from the same source.

A good remedy to correct the error is to see that my hostility to the other idea is it threatens my belief system. Such a shaky foundation is not worth having and anything built on it would collapse sooner or later under its own pressure and contradictions. One must learn to live with fear to understand the whole process.

Clinging to experience too is a search for security which has fear as its basis though it may be unconscious. Contemplation of death is a good remedy for this.
