Our mind is become our first and biggest enemy or wall to see the God and become best and first friend to feel the presence of God. As mind is having all major seven vritti's(a wave of thought, a modification of the mind )like Kam(lust) ,krodha (anger), lobha ( Greed ,edacity), Moha (attachment),Maya (money), Ahankar(Proud ,Ego), Irshya(jealousy) remain in mind only which are main evils of mind .When it combine with each other than its impurity increased great significantly. All spiritual quarries are connected directly or indirectly with these seven vrittie’s only and all's solution are also connected with them only.
These are main leader behind them very small branches are there in the form of desires in our mind. Thus mind become our first enemy to realize God.
It is very difficult to over come these all vritties of mind .It require great determination ,time, patience, continuous Japa of any mantra ,secrificy many happiness of life
If we over come or control all these vritties than our mind become pure like Innocent child. Now with pure mind we can able to send and receive micro vibration through our prayer and we receive God's messages like Intuition, flash , messages ,answer to our question , dreams etc come first in mind only. Pure mind is medium through which we feel Supreme soul's presence.
When our mind become pure we can send and receive massages with our prayer ( Free out going call to God )with out any kind of brake down network or tower (Guru). Guru is just like mobile tower who provide us connectivity with God. Thus mind become our first and best friend to feel the presence of God in spirituality.

Mind

Very true! This physical body is nothing but a bundle of thoughts called MIND.Thoughts can be good or bad..it manifest according to this....so food of the mind should be healthy....so healthy stuff to come out.....this world is full of good and bad....awareness of mind is the path finder....whether we go this way or that way.

Gernally,

Gernally there is a very big confusion,
But there is lot difference between "Mind" & "BRAIN"
"BRAIN" & "MIND" are different,
Yes! One should have a good & positive "Brain"
But "Mind" is the second name of "Vanity",
"Mind" means "Vainty"

Mind

Every physical body has a 'MIND'.Mind is receiver of thoughts. It receive thought in the form of vibration.Vibration can be negative or positive.Negative vibration make negative field and positive vibration make positive field. If your negative field is strong then you receive more negative vibrations and if your positive field is strong then you receive more positive vibrations, like a magnetic field. When you have both the type of vibrations then your mind will disturbed as there will be lot of actions and reactions.

Thoughts comes to mind first then it goes (input) to brain...Brain gives its logical output...yes or no like computer...your brain or intellect take the decision. So brain is a decision maker.Until and unless you have anything(Raw material) in mind, brain(Processor) has nothing to do.In spirituality intellect is the hindrance to understand the higher self as it always gives its own logic...but GOD is beyond logic.....only a clean and pure MIND(Thoughts/vibration) can feel it.

When the MIND is PURE and full of LOVE then it becomes SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS....
MIND can be observed in SILENCE by MEDITATION....it can not be fully described in words, one has to go inside and observe how it behaves....
All your outer behavior is governed by your BEAUTIFUL MIND inside....

I don't know how far i could explain.
I can suggest some reference books where you can understand
in a more better way.
1.AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI

2.THE DIVINE ROMANCE (Chapter:The Mind: Repository of Infinite Power) by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganada.
Published by: Yogoda Satsanga Society of India.
