If science has declared that there is no self now, then it is a stale stuff. Buddha had declared it 2500 years back, 'the no self' as emptiness or nothingness.Non dual masters had declared "the no self" as real self, since time immemorial.

Since Buddha and Non dual masters findings were viewed and interrupted, on the physical base the the spiritual meaning and essence is lost. But still the spiritual essence are hidden in the most of the scriptures as insights.

It is erroneous of science to say there is no self, it should have declared that there is no false self which is 'I'. If there is no self then there is no experience of duality. Without duality neither the world nor its perceiver would exist. Since they consider the 'I' as self and they view and judge everything on the false identity, therefore they are unable to unfold the ultimate truth.

There has to be something that remains to say there is no self, therefore one has to conclude 'the no self' as the real self.Because the no self is formless and non dual in its nature.

You're right, but...

"It is erroneous of science to say there is no self, it should have declared that there is no false self which is 'I'. If there is no self then there is no experience of duality. Without duality neither the world nor its perceiver would exist."

In truth, there *is no* experience of duality. Duality is imagined on a verbal/conceptual basis in the mind.

More or less, the world and its perceiver are the words "world" and "perceiver". In absence of these words (and related delusive notions), there is no world nor the notion of a perceiver. These are mental constructs, as are time and space. Within the realm of words, there is an "I" as long as language structure uses the words "I" and "me" to express.

Duality is illusory. What does the word "exist" mean to you? In the dictionary it says "that which is actual", and for the word "actual" it says "that which exists". Good luck... ;-).

Hi Omkaradatta,
Thank you, for your response.
The word illusion and whatever you expressed are mere words. How can one imagine as a person, and express through words, of the truth, when he is not aware of the fact that, he is still in realm of duality, and speaking of truth with dictionary meanings as proofs.

All the mental constructs you are talking about comes only when the person and the world are present in experience of duality. The thoughts, words and imaginations possible only when one accepts the experience of duality as reality. Thus to have the thoughts and words, the experience of duality has to be present before hand.

Without knowing what is duality, it is erroneous to talk of duality. The duality means the mind in spiritual sense. Therefore the mind which is enlightened will no; What is duality? What is not duality? The duality exist only when the mind exists, without the mind the duality cease to exist. The duality is not with in the experience of duality, The duality is between , the mind and spirit[self].

Thus one has to think beyond duality, not juggling with finding logical and intellectual meanings. A person cannot claim himself as enlightened , because, it is the mind that has to get enlightened by becoming aware of the fact that, it is not a man, then only one will be able to talk of truth, and able to view and judge, what is truth? and what is not truth?

Unless one has the proper yardstick to know what is truth and what is not truth, and courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth it is impossible to move forward in pursuit of truth.

Nisargadutt Maharaj never used dictionary for the meaning. spiritual meanings are different then worldly meaning. And spiritual truth is universal. Religious and worldly truth are individual.

Anything can exist, whether illusion or the real, truth or untruth, duality or non duality.Seekers aim is to know the ultimate truth where there is no thoughts to imagine and no words to express.

Words are mere instrument of communication within the experience of duality that is all.

With respect and regards
santthosh.
Have a blissful time in duality.
