During the period of Navaraatras of nine nights Mother the priomordial energy Durgaa is worshiped in Her 9 forms. These forms are as below :----
SHAILPUTRI, BRAHMACHAARINI, CHANDRAGHANTAA, KUSHMAANDAA, SKANDAMAATAA, KAATYAAYINI, KAALARAATRI, MAHAAGAURI, SIDHI DATRI.
Consequent upon She having been manifested of in the power of nine forms, so these days are called Navaraatras. From the point of view of worship She the Supreme Power Divinity have following ten forms :-----
MAHAAKAALI, UGRATAARAA, SHODASHI, BHUVANESHWARI, CHHINAMASTAA, BHAIRAVI, DHUMAAVATI, BAGALAAMUKHI, MAATANGI, KAMALAA.
She having been the greatest cause of the creation coming into existence, so She is called JAGAJANANI JAGADAMBAA. Durgaa is the consciousness who is existing in all creatures.Durgaa is Conscious Power. Not any kind of work in the world can be done without the power. To those persons who are depressed, disappointed, pained and unhappy; to them Mother Durgaa the compassionate divinity is very shelter.
She is the collective power of all gods and this power destroyed demons mahishaasur etc. to make the gods fearless and the gods again got the kingdom of heaven. In Rigveda Durgaa is called vaak who creates the whole creation, cradle & protect giving sustainability to such Her-own creation and also at the end She ends Herself the creation. After ending the whole creation; She Herself remains as seeds of the next creation, in due projection of creation which will have to come into existence in future.
She as power reflects in eleven rudras, eight vasus and and also in twelve aadityas and they all function through this Power which is called Durgaa. It being spoken in vedas that power and the entity whose this power having been are the one which is non-separated element and also in scriptures they are called 'PARAASHAKTI' AND 'PARAMAPURUSHA'.Hence tihs theory of Advaita (non-dualism). As per their liking monists sometimes call this as Male (God) and sometimes as female (goddess, Power, Divinity) but this matter has no any difference to monists, spiritualists, devotees; on account of this reason Sri Ramakrishna called This as Kaali (divinity in the form of female) and Shankaracharya as brahm (divinity in the form of Male or non-male/female) etc. She is the axle of family life and social life without going into the details of Her forms as Male and Female; however, Jgadambaa as para form is Brahma and also as apara form is SADAASHIVA, BRAHMAA, VISHNU AND RUDRA.

nidhi parkash in tamilnadu its diffferent! how? lets see.

here navaratri falls in duly nine days simbolising defeat of mahisasuran who is cause of eveil habits and non neatness or non bathing habits like black cow...which sleeps in dirt...

first three days are attributed to mother kali....
next three days are attributed to mother lakshmi...
next three days are attributed to goddess saraswathy...

it means courage wealth and education excellence are needed to all in equal forms for justice...also unity of three wifes of hindu trinity ....namely Brahma vishnu siva...

so mother by her grace destroys imperfection in courage wealth and learning...

as kali dasa asked for boon of unified three juices of wealth courage and learning mastery and was called great vikata kavi...and great sanskrit author as "megattotham"
"harivamsam" etc etc speak of his geniuses...

since this festival is home festival ....
like sri devi vs moo devi fight...
black cow vs white cow exist...

as indian goverment uses more of black cow for milk mahisasuran is vibrant in all homes unknown...

victory to goddess....
