My two cents on the requirement of a living Guru

Do we need a living Guru or not, to evolve spiritually?. The answer is Yes and No. How spiritually evolve are you in your present State?. What is your understanding about the term "Guru" personally means to you?. The "Guru Principle" is Formless and Nameless as the Supreme Almighty Being. It takes a chosen Form according to the desire and the inner spiritual developement of the chela and according to his prarabdha karma. There is only One Universal Guru Principle; you may want to see It in a living Form and there are others who want to see It in the Form of the past Masters like Jesus, Buddha, Krishna or Bhagavan Ramana or any other great Masters. The body is only a vehicle for these great Beings to use to convey their messages according to the temperament of the aspirants in this world. There are also many Mahapurushas who are in the Spirit Form who are guiding the aspirant in their own special and specific way. Kama, Krodha, Moha, Lobha and Ahankara are the stumbling blocks that prevents one from meeting these Compassinate Beings. This Forum is to help, encourage and if possible alleviate any spiritual problem anyone here might have. Yet there are only clashes of Ego that is size of the Everest. Sad, really sad to read, these so called spiritual people attacking one and another in the Name of Guru, God and Spirituality. All Masters, Gurus, Satgurus, Yogis and Mahants stressed that, "Everything starts from Within". One can read encyclopedias from A to Z about all the religions, all the spiritual practice and paths in the world, however if there is no true spiritual experience experienced within ones heart and soul; what that is written or spoken is just bookish knowledge without substance. If you are truly spiritual, that spirituality should reflect in your words, thoughts, deeds and action; that is the true mark of spiritual evolution. You may want a Guru to guide you or you may not feel the need to follow a Guru; the choice is always yours. The Guru Tattva or Principle is there only to help you in every step of the way.

The happening of a GURU

Sometimes one doesn't even know that one needs a GURU..!!
I didnt.
Yet it happened so.
Had no concept about a GURU, for that matter had no concept about GOD..!!
Form, formless...had never even heard these words...
Yet it happened so.
Whether there was a desire or not,or where I was in my spiritual development {completely ignorant about there even being such a thing },were questions that never even arose...
Yet it happened so.
Karma-prarabhda or otherwise ,even after I met my GURU,were mere SANSKRIT sounding terminology, and I'd been a mediocre student ...such words were greek to me..
Yet it happened so.
At the end of my tether,I reached the abode, only because my mother lived in the ashram, and for her HE was GOD...
Yet it happened so.
Who or what GOD is, I didn't know...
Are GOD and GURU one , I didn't know...

All I KNEW WAS I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ANYMORE...

AND A TREMENDOUS LOVE AROSE....

AND THAT LOVE TOOK ON A BEAUTIFUL FORM...

AS WAS WITHIN SO IT WAS ON TH OUTSIDE TOO...

That's how it happened.
Just so.

TRUTH,LOVE,PEACE

Re: My two cents on the requirement of a living Guru

Without a Guru how does the Guru principle stand?
It seems the basic thing is not addressed.
