i as a chess player in 1993 college time got "gold medal" in chess and subsequently i did excellently well in chess
near valluvar kotam i had a "state championship" in chess
i had defeated the great sasikiran..i was winning always...

their came the fate ful last match...

T.K.Swaminathan came let us arrange for draw..agrreed..
such that u will placed secnd and i will be placed thrird and we can share prize money...

but my eyes are fixed on marolity...

i said no...

they fixed my play to visweswaran who by hook crook made victory with me...

here he said sriram whoever wins would be placed first...
why do not u play "marshall " atack with me...

he has prepared that varioation for a month or so i came to know later...

i played well and lost... later revenged by my friend "S.mariarul" in betram tournament in very same marshall atack...

but the question is match fixing...

if state level tournaments have so many match fixing...

how much u will have in real time national and international tournaments in any format of the game...

moral:
if i agreed i would have been "no.2" in state tourney and nice journey to nationals even...

the pain of being correct also had its effect in "dolphin school" in madhurai...

where "r.b.ramesh won"

when i should have won...

Moral:
Match fixing happens whether we wish or not...
we people know not ...and Sachin knows very well how much it operates in all sports and how much its needed...

like match fixing by political forces in indo-pakistan series in pakistan where viru scored 309 runs...

so at times its better to fix and grow then speaking sane and get lost ur way...

moral:
Professionals know to match fix without getting hurt in the law...or supported by law...

in that tournament i was placed 10th then again ....

and "Dolphin school chess tournament" is another big story to share...

with love,
dhorai.
