Mantra for Transforming Body Identification into Consciousness Awareness

I wrote this verse to be used in day-to-day situations, as we walk among the countless things in the world, to help make the shift to the non-dualistic paradigm. I´ve put it into practice in everyday situations and attain incredible paradigm and awareness shifts.

I perceive the body is an avatar, a projection of God´s One Consciousness.
Think of a drop of water in the Ocean. When a wave is formed and drops fly into the air they can be imagined as individual drops, but when they merge back into the water they return to being the complete ocean.

Our avatar projections of dense light energy are part of a complete uninterrupted field of consciousness onto which our avatar are projected and sustained. If you identify with the field of consciousness you cannot also be the avatar, as the field includes and transcends the individual avatar. The avatar offers the illusion of separateness when in fact it is intricately woven and a part of the whole field.

Is a thread in a blanket, the thread or the whole blanket? It is simply a choice, or a paradigm shift you must make. You can mistakenly believe you are the thread, or you can truthfully accept your are the whole blanket, i.e. the field of consciousness.

The mantra I wrote below is to help you make that shift at any time during our day-to-day interaction with the world.

Try it ! It will make your mind tingle with delight! And you will see things in a different shimmering light of oneness and consciousness.

MEDITATION MANTRA TO BECOME ONE

How I came to write this Mantra

Nancy,

I can´t thank you enough for your affirmation that this mantra works! This is all that I could ask for, that people like tried it spontaneously and had a transforming experience.

One of my inspirations for this text is the Classic Vendanta text "THE CREST JEWEL OF DESCRIMINATION" regarding the path to God through knowledge.

This is an incredible book of only 139 pages Written by the Saint Shankara somewhere between 686-718AD (his lifetime).

I will quote from page 88:

In parenthesis are my reinterpretations of some words which I used in the verses that I wrote.

When a Man knows the Atman (the Absolute Consciousness), and sees it inwardly and outwardly as the ground of all things animate and inanimate (the field of Consciousness), he has indeed reached liberation. He rejects all appearances as unreal (separate objects and people) and is established in the vision of the Atman (The Field of Consciousness and the Void of Consciousness), which is the Absolute Infinite Being.

To see that one Atman as the ground of all appearances (field of consciousness) is the way to deliverance from bondage (ignorance of what is really true and right under your nose). There is no higher knowledge than to know that the Atman is one, and everywhere (principle of non-duality, everything is connected, everything is one). A man realizes that the Atman is everywhere and in all things if he rejects appearances and devotes himself steadfastly to the Atman (steady and constant meditation on the Absolute), the Eternal being.

But how can a man reject the appearances if he lives identified with the body, if his mind is attached to sense-objects, and if he pursues the fulfillment of his cravings? Only by strenuous effort can this rejection be accomplished (meditation every day at least twice a day). Practice spiritual discrimination, (focused and refined perception, mental exercises such as my verse), and be passionately devoted to the ATMAN (love the formless above all the objects in the field of consciousness, i.e. looking at men and women´s bodies and feeling lust, money, cars, houses, careers, status, etc, all of which are illusions to tempt us away from perceiving the ATMAN). Renounce those selfish rewards which are obtained through the performance of actions and duties (looking for recognition for your actions, a promotion, a raise, praise from your wife or husband or friends). Give up seeking pleasure in sense objects (sex, masturbation, drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, chocolate, radical sports, video games, TV programs and movies, surfing the Internet, workaholism, falling in love, etc and the list is almost eternal). DESIRE NOTHING BUT POSSESSION OF UNDYING BLISS (MEDITATE MORE AND MORE AND MORE UNTIL THIS BLISS IS REVEALED TO YOU).

In the scriptures, it is said: "When a man, who has heard the truth of Brahman from the lips of his teacher, becomes calm, self-controlled, satisfied, patient and deeply absorbed in contemplation, he realizes that ATMAN, within his own heart and sees the ATMAN as all."

For such a seeker the above passage prescribes deep contemplation of the Atman in order that the Atman in all things may be realized (HE REALLY MEANS TO SAY PERCEIVED, because the Atman has always been and will alway be in all things, we just have to shift our perception to see it and feel it).

THE MOST DIRECT WAY TO PERCEIVE THE ATMAN IS MEDITATE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED REPEATING AN MANTRA CONTAINING THE WORD OM, SUCH AS OM NAMAH SHIVAYA (I OFFER REVERENCE TO THE INNER SELF), OR OM BY ITSELF, AS FREQUENTLY AS POSSIBLE FOR THE LONGEST PERIODS POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN SET ASIDE IN YOUR ROUTINE. YOU MUST REALIZE THAT YOU ARE OM AND OM IS YOU.

A BASIC RECOMMENDATION IS TWICE A DAY, IN THE MORNING AND IN THE EVENING. WHEN YOUR EYES ARE OPEN AND YOU ARE INTERACTING IN THE WORLD, PRACTICE REAL DISCRIMINATION USING MENTAL TOOLS SUCH AS THE ONE I WROTE.

EACH ONE OF THE WORDS IN THE VERSE I WROTE IS AN ASPECT OF OM. THIS IS WHY YOU FEEL THE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY. AND AT THE END OF THE VERSE YOUR MIND RESTS ON WHAT YOU TRULY ARE = OM.

He means realized. Truth realization is not a perception or a feeling. Appearances remain as appearances. A tree is perceived as a tree, but is realized to be Consciousness/Awareness appearing as a tree.

In a way

In a way that's true. But the concept "tree" is not overlaid onto what's commonly known as a tree.

True, but the point was that the perception/conception of 'tree' was altered by the realization of Truth rather than the reverse, right?

Sharing the Blessings

Dearest Brother Deepam,

Thank you for your kind words. I´m so happy others are connecting to the text. I tried to use logic to deconstruct our identification with the body and at the end leave the mind alone with no support, no attachment. The empty space. ONLY OM.

Please send me links to Brahmajnaanaavalee and your thoughts about it. I would love to share contemplations with you.

GREAT LOVE AND INFINITE BLESSINGS BACK TO YOU,
