God is omnipotent....

Many gurus suggested that you need to love each and every minute creation of God as he is in it...

They also say!

" One needs to get detached from the worldly desires and then only he can realize GOD"

Both are paradox statements.....

But the reality as i realize is....

Once you get detached thats when you can love...if you are attached you can love only the things/beings whom u are attached with...but once you get detached you tend to become unbiased and then u start loving everything/everyone alike...

so it is important to first get detached ..then to start loving everything/everyone alike... thats when u realize the ultimate....THEE

What was spoken was simply beautiful at the initial reading.

What makes one attached in the first place? Once I was in a situation where a thought arose that I should share or have compassion upon a beggar. I attached myself to that thought and gave to him. Wouldn't detachment lead to focusing on the ego and not others.

Detachment leads to focusing on the ego!

Dear Loving Soul,

Yes! In the process of Detachment we tend to focus on ego but once this process is completed, once detached with worldly things around us then "I" don't exist as we tend to see ourself not in our body alone but in everything and anything around us.

Yes! Then again we need to ask a question! Are we seeing this soul or the supreme soul in ourself and everything around us?

I believe once we are through this process of detachment then we tend to see the supreme soul in everything!

Please let me know if this made any sense to you dear soul.

True

First, let me say that most truthful sayings contain paradoxes. Reality does not adhere to mind's logic thus the uselessness of reasoning and analyzing.

Second, in the above case I don't see any paradox, I do see different definitions of the concept "love" which gives rise to confusion.

You are right, for true feeling of love which is not dependant on object, detachment is needed. Why? no need for useless whys, experience tells this.

In regard, I would recommend to read http://www.gurusfeet.com/blog/first-look-love-then-someone-love. Love is an energy, is an ocean that wants to flow if only allowed to.
