Radha Ma, the beloved sage from Tiruvannamali, has graciously conveyed to us the following special message to be published on

The message is directed to the many seekers who are asking to meet her.

We feel this is a great honor for us to be able to follow her wish.

I am like a bird
I only fly away
I don't know where my home is
I don't know where my soul is
Baby, don't waste time to meet me
I am like a bird...

Beautiful Radha

Asking a bird for directions is a waste of time, it doesn't even know where its home is...

Asking a bird for explenations is a waste of time, it doesn't even know where its own soul is...

Developing an attachment to a bird is a waste of time, from your perspective at some point it will fly away...

I love when she laughs, it equals endless words. Pity that the bird is not willing to land on our hands for a minute or two, laugh together, and then fly away.

Kudos gurusfeet, you deserve it, great recognition and an opportunity to tell you thank you personally for this wonderful addictive website.

I second.

Truly remarkable that she picked you for the message.

Bird the hansa

The whole of creation (universe) is just like a tree and there are two birds; one is above the tree having been in absolute divine serene who has no need of any outward support but he is himself absolute existence, absolute knowledge, absolute bliss.Other bird has been enjoying the fruits of tree jumping between the branches from one branch to another branch. One is higher bird while other is lower bird.lower bird is enjoying both kinds of fruits of his Karmas which tastes sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet. After tasting bitter fruits lower bird becomes restless and on tasting such bitterness he sees the above bird in serenity. He starts to go to higher bird and after reaching the higher bird lower bird feels, knows that he has been himself this higher bird while below was only his shade,maya-projection.
Hansa (lower bird) becomes Paramahansa (higher bird) as well as due to merging of soul(aatmaa) with over-soul becomes over-soul(paramaatmaa).Drop become ocean.
Ref. to Upanishadas...

Lovely Mystical Song

Really a great song with lovely mystical messages. Our Beloved sings to us in many ways.

"I'm Like a Bird" by Nelly Furtado

You're beautiful, that's for sure
You'll never ever fade
You're lovely but it's not for sure
That I won't ever change
And though my love is rare
Though my love is true

I'm like a bird, I only fly away
I don't know where my soul is, I don't know where my home is
(and baby all I need for you to know is)
I'm like a bird, I only fly away
I don't know where my soul is , I don't know where my home is
All I need for you to know is

Your faith in me brings me to tears
Even after all these years
And it pains me so much to tell
That you don't know me that well
And though my love is rare
Though my love is true

It's not that I wanna say goodbye
It's just that every time you try to tell me that you love me
Each and every single day I know
I'm going to have to eventually give you away
And though my love is rare
And though my love is true
Hey I'm just scared
That we may fall through

Of Course Not

There's not much mysticism in cynicism. Take any message how you will. To be able to see God in others is just as wonderful to be able to see God in ourselves. Whatever God may mean for you. From what I have gleaned so far from Radha Ma after looking into her, is that she enjoys the messages in music. She shared one with Gurusfeet.

From the nature and signature of the comment you shared, Guru's are a silly thing. Radha Ma has said the same thing.

With Humility

Do not give up

I don't find anything funny in that. They are a group of people who created an amazing place that we all enjoy in return for our freewill donations only, appearently they put a lot of creative headwork, sensitivity, and resources and they get a recognition when a prominent spiritual figure picks them of all to publish her message.

It reminds me of Vimela Thacker and others who usually do not give interviews that years ago chose of all magazines and websites to give interviews to "what is enlightenment?" ( It meant a lot then.

And about Rhada - I wouldn't give up, keep on nagging her (but with sensitivity, of course) if you think she can contribute to your progress. Ramana was refusing for 10 years to speak to anybody and at some point caved in to the increasing demands and see how many have benefited from him ever since.

Then Radha Ma resonates well

Then Radha Ma resonates well with me. In fact when I saw that she quoted from a song as her 'message to Gurusfeet', i thought, 'how delightfully unpretentious'.
My comments were really in reference to the serious words of the OP. It seems even Radha Ma would wish us less seriousness.

"From the nature and signature of the comment you shared, Guru's are a silly thing. Radha Ma has said the same thing."

The inadequacies of this comment have continued to be bothersome since it does not adequately portray Ma's views. Madan Gautam corrected the comment quite superbly so I left it at that. But, I still feel it necessary to add more depth to Radha Ma's view of guru by sharing a video link of an interview done with her.

Fear of authorties

Radha Ma or her view about gurus is not the issue but the fear from authorities on one extreme and the addiction to authority on the other.

In this case, some of those commenting here have demonstrated a deep fear and resentment against authorities expressed in a sweeping condemnation of gurus which is of course novice and silly and stems from ego.

In all walks of life you use the expertise and wisdom of those more advanced and of those who think differently and suddenly in spirituality, your most crucial field, you insist on not being assisted with all sorts of ideologies and rational justifications.

It reminds me of those advocating zealously the uselessness of any relationship while behind simply hides their great fear of women or commitment.

Beauty and respect

I find it beautiful that she referenced this lovely song to convey her message. It just makes her message more profound and meaningful than what I thought, now that I read the whole poem. She is not a poet and was not publishing a song, she simply conveyed a message.

I heard Raddha Ma in tiru a few years ago. She is magnificent. I understand why it is a honor for them - she hardly talks with the outside world, let alone gives any interviews or satsangs despite the demand so if she selected this site to give her message then it means something. Besides, there is a dignified way of respect when approaching a sage that some westerners or non spiritual people or both may find impossible to understand.

"she hardly talks with the outside world, let alone gives any interviews or satsangs despite the demand so if she selected this site to give her message then it means something."

But what does it mean to you? What does it mean that she rarely talks to the outside world? What does it mean that her message here is that she does not have a message? Are you paying attention to what is in front of you or are you simply seeing what you want to see?

Or perhaps those who are not so entranced and deluded by the man-made guru mytique can understand what you cannot. The one who is Self realized is not so well aligned with your judgment of others or with your ignorance in believing that the guru is superior and can give you something that you do not already have and help you to become something that you are not already. It is all so serious and mystical and honorable to you that Love, Joy and Peace find no room to breathe. Maybe that's the message Radha Ma is trying to send you.

Love, the missing link

I agree, especially about the respect. People who are in the mind rather in the heart will not understand that.

Then i wish for you to find

Then i wish for you to find your heart. What sort of respect is it that honors one and sneers at another, that judges one to deserve respect and another to be dismissed? What sort of love is it that builds one up while tearing another down?

Give your mind a rest

This is not the case here. A respect to a sage is something you may one day understand when you meet a true one, pointless to try to explain. Anyway, it does not come of course on the expense of respect to somebody else. There is no limited quota for respect and love.

You do need to connect more with your heart and less be dependent on your mind, it will sort out your confusions.

There is a strong pattern on

There is a strong pattern on this forum of folks putting others down, usually in a general way so as not to take personal responsibility. There's also a lot of talk about coming from the heart, but it's clear that few understand what this means. In my world, this is referred to as the 'love-n-light' stage of awareness where ego is being forcably restrained while a pretence of genuine love is being played out.

It's also clear there's a great deal of unconsciousness and projection here, and so when someone tells me what I need to do, I understand it's something the speaker is unconsciously exploring for himself. The mental focus, so strongly exemplified here with all the processes and techniques and information and talk of reason and logic, is simultaneously denied and projected onto others who are not being understood.

It takes time. It is maybe THE challenge for many to first admit their attachment, identification and reliance on the mind and second to break it.

We can assist by reflecting this to others because it is so easy to recognize it on others (and so difficult on us :-) but from this point on it is their responsibility because we cannot make the switch for them.

'Wrong' is the wrong word.

'Wrong' is the wrong word. There's a sleepyness here, like a dream that I'm having where everyone walks around in a somnambulistic cloud, entranced by their own imaginings and refusing to look up from their feet to notice another passing by. Even the pretty words of love and beauty, devotion and honor, are only imagined and lived through the imagining.

I'm here because it breaks my heart. This is no place for one who walks in the bright light of day.

There is no quick fix, and no need for it.

There have been some shining lights here but they cannot remain. The brightness causes others to blink and turn away. There are some, like Mayasurfer, who's vision is unclouded, and others like Quantum who are willing and open and will likely find what they seek. There is Anderlaus, below, who's light I can already see glowing through the dark corridors of this place, and I'm grateful to all these people, but there is a sadness that is not being struggled with. It's in the walls of this place.

The last blog we read asked the question, "Who is the mother of God?" There is a deep sadness even in the question, that stabs at the heart of the living Truth right here, right now. i cannot keep up with all the posts because I keep running into my posting limits, but this is not an external boundary, but rather a boundary I've placed on the depth of my own love. So be it.

Hi Phroggy

if my vision is less clouded now it is thanks to you and Omkaradatta. Many of your messages and comments stay in my head and begin to make more and more sense... lately I have been thinking about something you say a lot "creation is perception". What is created and perceived is precisely what is doing the creating... or "what is being sought is precisly what is doing the seeking"...I have been thinking of this simple fact for a long time now, slowly the "vision" is indeed becoming clearer. Today while sitting on a bench in the shopping mall it suddenly became very clear, very clear indeed. Thank you.

dear radha ma, I wonder (and it's not for the sake of argumentation but for the sake of resolving my own doubts) - if it's all non-dual and ok as it is, and "people", as well as any other form object, do not exist as separate independant inherent entities, then why care about "people" paying huge sums of money to "auto drivers"? and maybe this money can serve better for the higher good of the drivers? and maybe them coming to meet you serves their higher good beyond the words exchanged? etc.
