Enlightenment is a Destructive Process

Wow! These words by Adyashanti resonate so true. It’s very hard for our minds to wrap around this, for it’s a total destruction of everything we hold “true”. Truth is just another belief system or a concept-this whole creation is a creation of the universal mind and in turn the individual minds. We have to drop all beliefs and concepts. We have to let go completely of the need to look good or be right, of the driven egocentric mind. This is the total, naked unveiling of the self, not just layers... and this is the essence of mysticism which is often misunderstood.
