Enlightenment

If there can be said to be something called 'enlightenment', then, it is more of a 'way of life' than anything else.

There is no longer a seeking to store up memories, or to remember anything. One dwells fully in the here and now.

Thus, any situation is literally as good as any other.

If "sitting peacefully looking at a candle" is 'what's happening', then that is what's happening.

If "dying in agony" is what's happening, that's what's happening.

There is no clinging to anything, and no rejecting anything.

No self, and no other.

It is very simple, basic and plain.

Very radical, and yet at the same time, utterly ordinary.

But if anything can be said for it, it is a genuineness, a realness.

There is no more "bullsh*t".

There is a freedom from falsity, from falsification.

It is 'what is', the way things really are.

There is I...

There is "I", the imaginary thought-entity...

And the Void, of which "I" am a constant a-Void-ance.

The Void wins. "I" lose.

That is all.

True...

True ;-).

Then again, it's clear here that nobody's buying anyway. I figure, might as well be direct, or not speak at all.

That's for damn sure

That's for damn sure nobody's buying. Hehe. They're all looking for something but whatever it is it's got precious little to do with Truth.

Sweet dreams...

"Sweet dreams are made of this,
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world
And the seven seas--
Everybody's looking for something." -- The Eurythmics

"Enlightenment" as a teaching word

"Enlightenment" is a teaching word. In some special situations, it might be of some use in helping someone put down ideas and opinions, and return to this moment. Just now, what do you hear, what do you see, what are you doing? Only this.

All words are teaching

All words are teaching words. This one does not point to what YOU are hearing, seeing or doing in this moment. This YOU is an idea and an opinion. Perhaps we could say it points to the moment itself, devoid of any notion of YOU. Just presense itself.
