NAMASTE

A translation on request from Michael and others- Divine Play

To remain distanced from a select few, I have realised that this is the best method! I am reaching my words and thoughts to you by Blogging in Hindi!!

************

Divine Play

Make your life a divine play- with the knowledge that everything is simply made up…

Have you seen small children playing with dolls and cooking make-believe food for them? They innocently bring the ‘food’ to their mother and ask her to taste it. And the mother ‘play-acts’, as if really enjoying the ‘food’- smiling and nodding her head in appreciation, ‘Mmmmm!!! What wonderful food my baby has made! I think I am going to be out of work now!!!’

She knows that it isn’t real, but she plays the game with the child. She enters the reality of the child’s world, and ‘plays’, although well aware of her real world where the child’s game is charming but unreal- since she is aware that it makes her child happy…

It is exactly in this way that you have to play the game of life. You have to enter and function in the world- remembering it is unreal. That it is not the truth- and that you are not that at all, but divine awareness…

Thus, you can live your life, respecting the place, the time and the people around you- keeping your awareness on your true nature.

You are pure emptiness- and it really doesn’t matter whether you follow one set of rules, or another- you’ll merge into whichever paradigm you exist in…

There will be so much allowance and acceptance in you- and you'll will be overflowing with love for the ones who have not realised that there is a greater reality beyond their own- filled with joy and bliss...

A drama-actor plays new role every month, and probably plays 150-200 roles in his lifetime. But does he change? No! He plays a role, but he doesn’t become that character permanently. He speaks the lines he is asked to, and follows the convention of the play.

In exactly the same way you’ll go through the role you are playing in this life, once you have understood that all realities are valid for the ones existing in them…

Till you believe all this to be real, you’ll be afraid to let go, which implies that you relate to it without realising that it is ephemeral, and thus it appears to be something that binds you.

When your actions bind you to the world, you become rigid and stiff. And anything that is hardened, dries up, and dies. Have you ever seen a supple corpse? When you touch a baby's cheeks, they are tender and soft. Plants are so supple when alive, and dried twigs and wood is hard and brittle...

Where there is life, there is flexibility and tenderness- and a vibrant and living mind is like that- elastic, ever ready and accepting…

The moment there is inflexibility, there is a question, ‘Why should I?’ - and the consciousness has become hardened and it starts dying. So develop the ability to merge into other peoples’ realities and to enjoy being there- playing ‘their’ game.

And probably, some day, you’ll be able to gently nudge them out of their reality into yours…

That is how true masters create great transformation in humanity…

Life must be supple and flexible. Play the game of life with a ‘yes mind’ full of joy and wonder- and be happy…

Best method for what?

I think you are just deceiving yourself - this way you are not reaching your words to anyone but the already convinced.

It's like I decide that I am not sure enough about my beliefs or too attached to them and so I will reach them to no one but myself to make sure no one confuses me with his different views and his comments about mine.

It is indeed the best method. The best method to preserve ignorance because part of the path is the changing and fine tuning of our views. And there is no one other than others that can give us unbiased feedbacks, even if they are sometimes erroneous or phrased bluntly.

:-)

my personal belief is that certain writings- like poetry, and prose arising out of meditations should not be for discussion but only expression...
And before you reply to that, This was only for the person who asked for the translation...
and I say 'the best method' because it keeps commentators away...

~

It is well written, but it is not poetry or prose. It appears to be instruction on how the 'enlightened' should approach the world, and yet no such instruction would be needed. If, however, it is aimed at those who have not Awakened, then it is a sham, a pretense of playing a role when the role is still experienced as very real and personal. Something like playing the role of being the humble student while believing sincerely in one's own humility.

The difficulties with posting on a public forum while ostracizing those who are not worthy of reading or commenting, should be obvious. My sugestion would be to have your own site (many are offered for free which would do nicely as a blogging site) or use something like Yahoo 360 where you can control the membership and keep the infidels away.
