Mind and destiny

It is true that mind is a slave to the destiny till mind is under influence of maya. Mind has capacity to go beyond if applied properly.

Mind and Destiny

Our Destiny is the result of our Character.Character is the result of habits.Actions become habits.Actions take place from Thoughts. Our Mind is nothing but bundle of Thoughts. If we control our thoughts we can rule our Destiny also.

Define destiny

Mind is not a slave to destiny.

It depends on how exactly you define destiny.

If destiny is some metaphysical predetermined goal than mind is not a slave to that but usually a stubborn obstacle.

If destiny is defined as all that ultimately happens (predestined or not, according to belief) than mind is not a slave to it but an integral part of it, nothing forces it to do or think something, it naturally acts in its way as anything else according to this destiny.

Define destiny

We are the creators of our own destiny. The destiny presently we are undergoing is the result of the fruits of our past actions. If someone committed a crime ten years ago and now awarded life imprisonment means he is reaping the fruits
now to what he sowed in past. Thus one has to suffer or enjoy the destiny created by themselves and cannot escape. The mind,by it's nature thinks and feels (joy/sorrow) the affects of present destiny. So Mind in one way slave to the destiny.
However, a wise man accepting the destiny whole heartedly can relieve the mind from emotional thoughts and through his present acts and deeds he may be able to make future destiny of his choice.
