Mantras are just a sidekick
Mantras as they are are not the purpose nor the center, they are just a means, an aiding tool on the side used in a certain context, like a pipe for smoking the tabaco or a plate to put the food on.
If placed as the central thing, they function as a distraction, as a means for not taking responsibility, for not truly coping with reality and obstacles, and as a commercial thing.
