Self-inquiry is all about seeking everything that makes NOW, Self, DIFFERENT from everything that appears in it, NOW.

… seeking these differences long enough
AND sooner or later
and adamantly with death
all DIFFERENCES vanish with its seeker
into fiction, thoughts,
to be the ONE
that thoughts make NONE: NOW.

– O'no

beyond ramana

Thoughts making none is thoughtlessness which leads towards beyond death. Which is the one beyond death is also birthless already.

It's something else

No. Self enquiry is more specific and all the "Now concepts" are not relevant to this at all and should be casted aside otherise they will make this delicated process ineffective as most other concepts.

By the way, what you wrote is a generic statement that can fit almost anything.

I suggest you to read and always make sure to be focused on the method. Nothing more, no concepts, no insights, no now, and no self - just do it. And do it without expecting anything wjatsoever.

Self-inquiry is like communism:
popular until something better comes along.
