IT is a rare rare person who can take a thought like “Heaven is Inside”
or: “Every hair on your head is predestined”
or: “You and I are ONE”
or: “I AM THAT”
or: "Nothing Ever Happened" ...

and instead of mindlessly parroting words that have nothing to do with the subject
simply admit “I never thought of that.”

and then think things out
until the mind gets blown away with meanings
– that no parrot can possible understand.

a parrot is anyone who talks

And after admitting “I never thought of that” a non-parrot would ask "On what do you base these sayings?" and will understand that the one who said these sayings was a parrot because a non parrot known that truth is beyond these unverified concep-based sayings.

Sure, and so every teacher

Sure, and so every teacher you've ever heard say these things is really just a parrot, while you, the non-parrot can see through all these deceptions. This is eggzakly the mindless upchucking to which Genep was referring.

Deeper ways of saying

Not every teacher says these things. The best teachers keep silent. They do not communicate the wisdom through words and concepts.

I have encountered many teachers who said this kind of stuff, and I'm even sure that for most of them it is a living reality. But - and this is the big but: I have never met a single person whom upon hearing these things became transform. Not a single person. This is indeed a giant "parrotness" of the chattering teachers and gurus.

teachers and their cages

" This is indeed a giant "parrotness" of the chattering teachers and gurus."
Words obviously went way above your head
to rattle your ego's cage,
... and you are upset.

do yourself a BIG favor:

Show the words that rattle your cage to your guru/teacher. And if the same words also rattle his cage then forsake him/her: because a real guru is exactly like Self that could care less about how words mindlessly rattle people's cages.

Words aren't a problem until

Words aren't a problem until you make them a problem. Words can be very good pointers and a good focus of consciousness if mind doesn't get overly involved in them.

A teacher who remains silent isn't considered a teacher at all, much less 'the best teacher'. Yes, another form of communication is happening in the silence as well as beneath the words, but to call all teaching parroting is as absurd as saying the best teachers don't say anything.

As far as never meeting anyone who has Awakened while involved with these parrots, that's perhaps unfortunate, but there are clearly students who have. Most of them went on to become parrots themselves.

I'm not one to say a guru is required or that the verbal teaching itself is necessarilly bringing about any Awakening, but your comments certainly needed some balance.
