ANYWAY

People are unreasonable, illogical and self centered,
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish motives,
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today, will be forgotten tomorrow,
Do good anyway,

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable,
Be honest and frank anyway.

People favour underdogs, but follow only topdogs,
Fight for some underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building, may be destroyed overnight,
Build anyway.

People really need help, but may attack u if you help them
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and you'll get kicked in the teeth,
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

Positive thinking (Any way)

Are you out of your mind to write the poem.

If someone slaps you, show them your other cheek; so he may make you his slave?

Someone hurt you and you give him pleasure; make an animal out of him.

and so on;
I can go on and on like the lines in your poem.

Be a man or a woman to give him or her what they deserve and you will make this a sensible world to live in.

Ego needs another ego to maintain a fight

What you suggest is exactly what happens in this world for eaons and apparently it didn't make the world sensible but terrible.

When you do not react with the same ego that initiated the act at the other party, ego dissolves at both sides. Ego needs another ego to fight and survive.

Do not let others make you what you do not like in them.

Review of the Poem

Guru Charno Mein

What you're saying is not quite true. Actually it's one's attitude and perception that makes the difference here, my dear !! Positive attitude and positive perception comes through the 'Sadhna', which refines the inner soul and helps in developing qualities like- compassion, love, tolerance, patience and broad outlook in one's thoughts.

Mahatma Gandhi could drive the Britishers out of the country and Mother Teresa became a saint by caring and loving the downtrodden only by following the same means as mentioned in the poem.

Trying to conquer anything by violence only inflames the issue, and is not a permanent solution. Sowing the seeds of love and compassion in a person is the ultimate solution and will help him/her in the long run. This is what Spirituality is, which deals with enlightening one's thoughts, emotions and intrinsic tendencies.

The Way of Positive Thinking

Negative thinking fills the person with injurious thinking about others which makes the person week but if the trend of our thinking becomes a little positive then miracles may happen. When we become well-wishers for others from the core of the heart and send them positive thoughts then also others hearts, feelings are changed and these other persons in reality feel peace of mind. it is result of positive thinking.

The Power Of Thoughts

Guru Charno Mein

No, I had read it from a small book purchased from Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad. The name of the poem was not mentioned.
I found it too good and agree with its thoughts totally.

sage words

there is so much wisdom in what you wrote - i may be wrong but i have a feeling that these teachings sum up karma-yoga perfectly - do not be so attached to results of your actions, be fully present in them and see them as ends in themselves, not merely a means to an end. Do you agree?

Peace /\

The Law Of Karma..

Guru Charno Mein

Yes you are absolutely correct and I fully agree with you.
Actually its our karmas that affects our life. Science has now established that all mental, verbal and physical activities carried out by an individual having a discriminative mind, leave subtle impressions on the deeper levels of the psyche.

The above mentioned facts could be understood by way of principles of science and engineering in depth.( Newton's law of motion, law of conservation of energy and law of existence of nature.) Please read the book "The Absolute law of Karma", on our website... www.awgp.org for more information.

Consider Einstein's law ...

...Each and every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Apply all you laws of mechanics and you will only get pure precise answers.
Of course, only if the K in the equation remains constant.

If you think the constant is variable you have no absolute law of Karma or other wise, in any fields due to random acessments.

If not you will have to live with a fixed constant learn to react with a tit for tat attitude.

Please don't mix sentimental ego with protecting ones true rights from others undesirable actions.

In this world of fluid nothing as illusions; seeking ones karama is fine. The true Karama most difficult .
Also true Karma does not allow you to accept evil against your self as you give out only goodness?

Of course it is ones personnel understanding how he interprets his or her Karama aspirations and lives according to his faith in it.

i wonder if everyone was so argumentative about this prayer when mother theresa said it?...
