Allowing Meditation to Happen

"It is important to realize
that meditation techniques like
watching your thoughts
or resting your attention
on consciousness
are techniques and not meditation itself.

But by practicing these techniques
you can open yourself up
for meditation to happen.

You may be practicing
watching your thoughts
and then at some point
watching just happens automatically.

The 'you' that was witnessing dissolves
and there is only the witnessing.

It is not something you did,
it simply happened.
Something else takes over the wheel
and the best thing you can do
is just to get out of the way.

You feel the Kundalini Shakti
flowing through you,
awakening every particle
of your being into bliss.

This is meditation.

So it is best if you do not
turn these techniques into achievements.
Because being the perfect witness
is not meditation.
And if you strive to be the perfect witness
then you might be stopping
meditation from happening.

Meditation is not an action,
it is not some lifeless object
or attainment.

Rather real meditation is alive,
it is something that awakens in you
out of love, out of awareness
or simply out of grace.

And it is when this happens
that you realize everything is
being taken care of.
Everything is happening
through grace.

But you have to let it happen.
You have to be humble enough
and soft enough
to allow meditation to happen.
To allow that which cannot be known
to take over.

This does not require knowledge,
does not require beliefs,
just the willingness to let go
into this moment.

Much love,

Kip"
