Biography

Founder of advaita Vedanta (non-dualism) lineage and worshipper of Divine Mother in various forms including Mother Kali. Sri Adi Sankara brought the various branches of the Hinduism together and also regulated the Sanyasi Order (Hindu Monks) into ten main streams.

Teachings

His main teaching is that the Para Brahman is One. The apparent diversity of this universe is an illusion due to Maya. Every thing is One (not two, hence Advaitha).
