Test drive different possibilities of the truth

Don't look for THE truth, look for the POSSIBILITIES of the truth.

When you focus on looking for the truth, your mind has more control over you to play its games and you overlook the many things you are used to take for granted.

This is because your subconscious definition of the truth is dictated by the mind, by your past conditionings, by what you were told from birth about what is truth by your parents, at school, by your biased books and culture.

When you open up to a broader definition of the truth by being conscious to possibilities of the truth, that is, you are alert to events and experiences that might be, under some other doctrine, absurd as it may be, signposts leading to the truth, you actually bypass the mind's narrow (and usually ignorant) concept of truth.

What do you have to lose? On the worst case, you were inspecting for some time a wrong possibility of the truth, you checked it and it proved erroneous.

Doing so, you actually sign a pact with your mind: Mind, allow me not to take anything for granted but if some direction proves wrong I return to your default concept of truth.

As for example, your mind's perception of the reality around you may be that it is accidental, arbitrary, chaotic, independent of you. Then, you start observing reality with the possibility in mind that maybe you actually create this reality, that it is a dream. Then, see what happens. You will notice that if your new assumption is true, it will enforce itself and will manifest in the witnessed reality.

Another example is you mind's tacit science-based skeptical assumption that there is nothing beyond, no god or any supernatural entity. Then, you start observing reality under the temporal tested assumption that maybe there is some larger force, and that maybe what you are undergoing in daily life are spiritual lessons. You just give this thesis a try and see what happens.

Try it! Remember every moment during your daily activities to give the other possibilities a try and see what happens. Reality will send you the appropriate signs when you test drive the right approach for truth.

So true

I have found in my search for truth The Truth is often filled with my own ego and need for being recognized by others. The Truth tends to be something I can label, classify, identify, describe, in essence I can 'own' it. Which, logically, cannot actually be truth!

Whereas truth itself is far more encompassing, as I am already a part of this truth, this existence, this reality. Truth is not exciting, it simply is. Excitement indicates identification with false truth.

UN-CONTRADICTED TRUTH

Santthosh
HI SHIRA,
UNTIL ONE KNOWS ABOUT THE KNOWER ONE REMAINS IN THE GRIP OF THE KNOWN OR DUALITY. WHATEVER IS KNOWN AS A KNOWER WITHIN THE EXPERIENCE OF DUALITY IS MERE ILLUSION. THE KNOWER IS WITHIN THE EXPERIENCE OF DUALITY AS ITS INVISIBLE SUBSTANCE AND KNOWER IS APART FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF DUALITY AS ITS INVISIBLE WITNESS.
THE WORLDLY AND RELIGIOUS TRUTH ARE NOT UNIVERSAL. BUT THE SPIRITUAL TRUTH IS NON DUAL AND CANNOT BE CONTRADICTED. TO REALIZE THAT UN-CONTRADICTED TRUTH FORMLESS SPIRITUALITY IS THE ONLY TOOL.
WITH RESPECT AND REGARDS
SANTTHOSH

while you are in the duality realm

This is exactly the reason for being open to different posibilities of "truth", to make sure you do not miss anything.

Indeed, from the center point of the mind, we talk here about relative truths, these are enough as long as you are identified with the mind, with duality.

To believe and imagine the true reality of non-dualism will yield no productive results. When you are in the dual form, the best you can do is accept and make sure you test drive all possibilities without fooling yourself...

Truth

AS long as one word/thought appears to be different from another -- when they are the same, thoughts -- words will never have anything to do with the truth: all words are the same, thoughts, fiction.
