The thought cannot rise without the form. Even if one claims the thoughts are formless, their main ingredient is form. Only as a person one is able to think and have thoughts. The person has to exist before he has thoughts. The person and his experince of the world cannot exist without the mind, which is present as Waking and dream. Therefore the person gets his thoughts only in waking or dream. In deep sleep the experince is absent, therfore there is no thoughts.

People think they can control the mind. But with what they are going to control the mind? How can any one control the mind, with mind? Because there is no tool available other than the mind.How man can still his thoughts without knowing the nature of the mind? or what is mind?

Through bookish knowledge they say form is formless. But they are unable to realize, how the form is formless, without realizing the fact, that their whole human experince, which includes the world, is created and sustained and finally dissolves, as formless and non dual substence. That formless non dual substence itself is the spirit , to which Buddha called it emptiness and Sri,Sankara and Sri, Godupada called it Bramahan.

To make the mind still, one has to discover and realize the true self, is the spirit. Then only the true meaning of the Bibles spiritual insight:BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD will be reveled--STILLNESS IS POSSIBLE ONLY WHEN THE TRUE SELF THAT IS SPIRIT REMAINS IN NATURAL STATE, AND THAT NATURAL NON DUAL STATE IS GOD, WHICH IS SPIRIT.
