First unite with your body, you pathetic spiritual clown!

- by -

Riktam Kantu

*** Translation from Spanish ***

You are so advanced. You aim at uniting with the cosmos, with the whole, with god. You scorn any hint or mentioning of duality, yet you have never tasted anything but duality. You call it Advaita but you don't really have any experiential idea what it is all about beyond the mere concept.

Before aiming so high, first unite with the basic, with your body, for example. Though mentally you are so identified with your body, you regard it as separate. First, unite with the feces at the moment they come out from your anus. Let's see you now, you spiritual hero. Yes, it is a part of you, isn't it? Wasn't it a minute ago? Unite with every cell of your body. Unite with the tips of your toes. With your vomit, with your dead hair, with your internal organs when your stomach is wide open in an operation while your are still conscious with local anesthesia only.

Yes, it is boring. Yes, it is sometimes disgusting. Yes, it certainly has no glory for the ego. Uniting with the universe makes you more of a teacher, an advanced soul and this modest union with body gives you only pain and nothing to brag about. Who wants to be modest, who wants to be a student. I'm united with the cosmos, with creation, with god and therefore I'm a teacher, a consultant, an authority. You are so pathetic. A spiritual pathetic clown. You are so fake. You are so dishonest with yourself. And being so could have been not such a big fuss unless it was the main and sometimes the only obstacle you face, while refusing to face, towards realization. Wake up!

PS. If you take yourself to be a teacher, a prophet, a messenger, if you feel that you have nothing to learn anymore, no questions to ask, only answers to give, if you are confident you know the truth and are prepared to fight in order to convince others about this truth, if you usually lecture rather than converse, if you are actively looking for students or worse, disciples, if you had some ecstatic experience and you are sure you are realized, dear mate, you are in such a deep shit! And you are not alone...

misconceptions

Very well said.

Yes, there is so much misconception about Advaita, especially by those who think that the way is to negate all duality while still living in duality.

YOUR deep-shit

*** Translation from not Spanish but by and for Advaita ***
If the greatest experts of Philosophy, Theology and Science... if these greatest experts knew anything about Spirituality, Self, -- WHICH THEY DID and DO NOT ... then these greatest experts would have told the Messengers like Krishna, Buddha, and especially Jesus these exact same words:

" PS. And you are not alone..."

because if these experts had known anything about Spirit, about being-Spirit -- which THEY DID NOT -- then, dear mate, they would have been absolutely right: these Messengers were in, as you say, YOUR deep-shit. And Christ certainly really-really "lived" in this, YOUR, deep-shit with his crucifixion.

They were in YOUR deep-shit because being aware they were spirits these Messengers of Self were well aware that death was just something, like a joke, that makes life appear real -- BUT ONLY to those spirits who take their body to be real.
And thus to all spirits who do not take their body seriously death had to be meaningless, even crucifixion, ... and yes these Messengers are especially full of YOUR deep-shit
because the best they can possibly do to be so called "meaningful"
is to envy the atheists,
because atheists still have something to live and die for.

grumpy

This manifesto is an important wake-up call.

I feel it is carefully phrased in somehow a blunt way so that we will not be able to overlook it. I see an abundance of compassion in it precisely because of this (similarly to what I see in the harsh words of Nisrgadatta, Shlomo Kalo, UG Krishnamurti and other grumpy-like sages.

Trust your feeling

As I grow and evolve, I find that:
I trust more;
I question less;
I go with the flow;
I do less;
I be more.
I tend to live now by how I feel. If I feel good about something - I do it.
If I do not feel good about something - I usually do not do it.
This approach to life really cuts to the core essence and simplifies my decisions

Speaking of duality...

Speaking of duality from a somewhat different
perspective...

It is said that, “When one is impartial and also lucidly
aware,there is no one in the world one cannot be the same
as, and there is nothing in the world that is arbitrarily
considered the same as something different.”

“Once they have discerned the real within the false, they
also distinguish the false within the real: with genuine
knowledge and certain insight, they do not mistake the
seeming for the true.”

“The sages' science of nature and life of body and mind is
twofold, involving knowledge and action. If one knows but
does not act, one cannot attain the Tao; if one acts
without knowledge, one mistakes nature and life.”

“Whether applying understanding in action, or nurturing
lucidity in stillness, if action and stillness are properly
applied, one can keep lucid understanding intact.”

We move through great accumlation

as we develop immense energy

to combine duty with right direction

so that we may attain

to perfect

truthfulness

without error

“Great accuulation means development in great measure.
Strong in stilling, stilling one's strength, not using
strength arbitrarily but rather in accord with the time,
being strong when strength is appropriate, being still when
stillness is appropreiate, resting in the highest good and
not wavering…”

“Filled with immense energy, they nuture it to repletion
and exercise it efficiently. Having no error within, they
naturally have no error without.”

“Accord is close association, associating the earthly with
the celestial. When the earthly does not bring about the
downfall of the celestial, but obeys the celestial,
preventing danger by this obedience, this is the way to
bring about happiness.”

“Inward mastery protects one from externals;
managing externals affords one inner peace.”

The Taoist I Ching

The Taoist I Ching is comprised of three books.

The main text, the overall images and the mixed

hexagrams. 'Liu I-ming intended his work to be

read as a guide to comprehensive self-realization

while living an ordinary life in the world.'

Though many of the quotes stand alone, all are

written to be read in the context of individual

development. Much the same as structure seems

necessary in the beginning of learning, as we

reach toward being through non-being,

we get a glimpse of what it means to step

back from our own mind and thus

understand all things.
